WIP French Mounted Chasseur Gi

hello guys,

here i'd like to share with you my summer job, between sun bathing and some swim I get the time to paint something...

It's a Metal Modeles kit painted in oils and acrilics
the horse has been done in oil painting with earth color highligted with pink, naples yellow and a bit of white
dark color with ivory black and burnt sienna

green and red are painted in Acrilics.
face and trousers ( deer skin ) were painted exactly with the same palette as for the horse

Superb work so far, I like a lot the tone and color of the horse. Do you paint the figure fixed to the horse?

Its the scale Steve ,came back to this hobby painting busts, to bomb down to 54 mm might make me do a Bertirelli

hi . i admire your model very much. i painted a similar figure a few years ago which won at the scots nats model show in perth scotland. the horse you painted is fantastic , it really sets off the rider.
