French Trumpeter Orleans Cavalry.

Hope you all had a nice Xmas. I'm going to paint Poste Militaire's 90mm French Trumpeter Orleans Cavalry. What I wanted to ask is dose the horse need to be painted grey? Scondly, can anyone provide any information about the painting details, since I do not have the painting instructions. Any help would be very much apprecited.

Yes, I love what you have done with the figurine, you are one hell of a painter. I have seen quite a lot of what you have painted. I remember when I first started painting, it was so hard to get fellow painter's to part with their secrets on how they painted certain things. That is probably the reason I joined the webpage, people are so ready to help one another. That is how it should be, let us keep helping one another. Okay, my question is: Do I have to paint the horse grey or can I paint it a different colour? I would love to see more of your work, Roc.

You can paint the horse any color you want, but I think the trumpeters rode grey horses.

Where possible. The French were keen for mounting trumpeters on grays.
