Interesting Malc, what species is it?

I believe it's a Cichlidae (not 100% sure about the spelling in English) . An Astronotus ocellatus (or Oscar).

I've had some freshwater fishes many years ago, and some are indeed smart and interactive.

The Chiclidae family originates mainly from Africa, but I believe there are some in South America as well. Some of them, including the Oscar, can be highly interactive with people. Oscars can also grow pretty large, and will change colors during the process. I believe the one from Malc is still quite young.

Always had dogs, wonderful beasts, however life does not allow the wife and i one at the moment as we both work days now... so I got one of these.

For anyone who does not know they are like dogs.

Oscar! I used to have one of these, it would swim right up to my hand for tiny pieces of hamburger bits. They get pretty big if given some room in the aquarium. Very cool fish!

Indeed!

Among various families and species, I've had a couple of Chiclidae, but no Oscars. Remember having a few of the more common Angelfish (scalare), but was never really lucky with these nor having them breed, and Kribensis (these ones are pretty interesting in the way they lay their eggs and then how they protect their small ones; they even hide them in their mouth ) .
Can't remember if I had more Chiclidae

But I remember that my favorite tropical fishes were some of the Trichogaster species, in particular the Dwarf Gourami (or Colisa lalia, or Trichogaster lalius), they are IMHO quite attractive, and smart, can come eat on our hands, and their breeding season is a marvelous spectacle to watch! They build a kind of air bubble nests on the surface of the water, and lay their eggs in there! Amazing!

Another species I also loved a lot was the Botia Macracantha, a very nice, interactive and colorful fish!



And yes, that could very well be how the entrance of Heaven looks like

When my time comes, I'm pretty sure there will be a whole lot of former friends already gone waiting for me... I'm counting on that anyway

I'm sure we will meet again. And as time goes by on this plane of existence, that day is coming closer every single day, with no fear nor regrets. This is just an experience we all have to go through, and then when the time is right, we go back Home

Yes...... I have that text next to me as I respond on this evil infested computer. All the dogs I have had over all my years. Every one has been my best friend and I will never forget the memories. People let you down......Dogs never do......as long as you don't mind picking up a little crap every now and then.

That what we call the "after life", I know 100% that it exists. I've seen it (or parts of it anyway), and it was then full of human Souls.
IMHO it shouldn't be called that way... because Souls are very much alive in there... and I believe even more knowledgeable and more complete than here on this plane of existence. The limitations of every kind exist here, not there.

Now, I haven't seen no furry Souls, or other non-human Souls, but I'm pretty sure they do exist and go exactly to the same "Elysium" as we/the Souls that we are (as opposed to the common belief, we don't have a soul, we are primarily Souls, experiencing a physical life while on this plane of existence), go after this temporary experience here.
