A Fixture

i was going to have these 2 figures idividually but decided to make a little vignette with them both.
Here are two of those famous king's bodiguards...The switzers wore wore part of the kings of France since the earlier 17th century, and they stayed loyal to their adopted king until August 10 1792 when the mob and national guard attacked the Tuillerie's palace and massacre the swiss guards.
in Contrast to the Swiss guards, the French guards joined the Revolt which was boiling before the fall of the Bastille and then took part at the take of the Bastille, not much to say other than these guards wore very different from the times of the Battle of Fontenoy.
The main body and legs of the figures are from Modeles et Allures from france, uniform is from 1767 Regulation converted to the 1779 -1786 uniform.
the heads are from Miniwelt and JMD, the hat is modded from another figure and grenadier bear fur hat is again , some original parts, enhanced with green stuff and front plate from Historex.
the lace on the swiss guard was made with greenstuff whime on the French guards was took from Historex parts
Cheers
