All paints used are Games Workshop and Andrea acrylics.
The horse was given a base coat of Chaos black and highlights were added using a very thin mixture of Chaos black + Medium grey + a little medium blue.
Very thin washes were applied with Chaos Black. This process was repeated lots of times until the effect you see was achieved.
The gold on the saddlecloth was painted with Games Workshop Burnished Gold over a base coat of brown.
Washes of brown were applied to the gold and then the gold was repainted where necessary.
To give the impression of blackened steel the helmet was painted Black and then a wash of black with a touch of Boltgun metal was applied and the shading was done with pure black The gold was painted with GW Shining Gold.
