Great rendition of an old classic Ken. I always enjoy your work on the Series 77 figures. Inspires me to drag out my old Series 77 and put some paint on them. Painted this one long ago for a friend and had the devil's time keeping the rifle attached. Keep them coming.

Hi Ken

Great to see youmoko back and your painting a pleasure to see your artwork

Lovely painting , you do have a flair with the 77 series ..this is no exception ....like the leatherwork and the weapon

Thanks for sharing

Ken you've made my day, I just love seeing people working on the classics and great painting on this fella, the Series 77 anatomy looks about right on this one, I have painted a couple of Pat Birds western figures my favorite being the sheriff leaning against a section of fence, ah memories.

Thanks Mike! Painting a series 77 figure is definitely a trip down memory lane. :)

Thanks Terry! I initially worried about his legs being too short but measurements indicated they were fine. I believe the chaps and the low slung holster belt fool the eye somewhat.

Interestingly the sheriff and this figure, from Pat's backstory in the instructions, are a pair. The trail boss, having volunteered to be part of a possee going after bank robbers, is standing next to the sheriff waiting for the rest of the possee to arrive. I debated doing them together but having done the sheriff not too long ago, decided against it.

Take care,
Ken

Super looking paintwork and finished piece. When I first looked at this piece, the short stature made me think the anatomy was off a bit. But you are right, the gun belt rig does tend to make the figure appear a bit short. Impressive looking piece though. Keep up the good work Ken.

Another excellent example of your brushwork Ken.
The colouring and detailing look spot on.
Very well done.

Cheers,
Andrew

Thanks Wayne! I have had to lengthen the legs of a few Series 77 figures, so it is something to be aware of. I was happy with this one as is. Take care and stay safe. :)
