Gebhard Leberecht von Blucher - 1742 - 1819

I have now finished this latest project of mine the bust of Marschall Vorwarts as he was known to his soilders and adversaries.
The bust depicts Gebhard Leberecht von Blucher,in my opinion the real saviour of waterloo,without this guys tremendous enthusiasm,determination,and complete hatred for the French there would have been no allied victory.
I studied various portraits of Blucher and was always struck with the black and red uniform details and one I wanted to add to my own piece,i also opted for the addition of the sash which I quite liked,this I added with some magic-sculp.
The bust is beautifully sculpted by Pavol Ovecka and he has captured Bluchers likeness perfectly.
the bust was painted in my usual style of painting with oils being finished over acrylic undercoats,dark star metalics were used for the medals,braiding and buttons,eppaulettes.
these V-busts are beautifully done by pavol and is my 2nd one to complete after ' Hook ' which I did some time back.
