Hi to all,
Leaving my Marshalls, I would present you one of my latest drawings, published by the French magazine "Soldats Napoléoniens" last month of june.
These two men are super knewn by the Napoleonic fans, probably the best commanders of cavalry in that period, represented during the battle of Heilsberg of 1807.
Antoine Louis Charles Collinet LASALLE, on the left, a corageous almost reckless cavalier, who said "an hussar living after thirty years aged, is not a trustworthy hussar ". So he died 34 years aged, shooted by an Austrian fusilier at Wagram on july 1809. He commanded the famous "Hell's brigade" formed by the 5th and 7th regiment of hussars. Joachim MURAT on the right, another great commander of cavalry. He lead the famous charge of 80 squadrons at Eylau on february 1807. Brother in law of Napoleon, having married his sister Caroline, Grand Duke of Clèves and Berg, King of Naples, he had the dream to reunite all the little Italian States of that period. Famous for his eccentricity, he drawn his uniforms out of all rules, often criticized by Napoleon for this habitude.

I reprised for my drawing the work of the famous Master Rigo, changing the colpacks with bicorn hats, I liked more this headgear, equally worn by the two cavaliers.
Antoine Lasalle, plate by Rigo. Here is in 1807, already general of Division, as comproved by the three stars on the sabretache

So, I hope all this can be interesting and can push anyone to create and paint two wonderful figures with all this embroideries

Best regards
