I have been without internet for 5 days and you turn up with this Colin,
The sculpt was a major step forward in it's self but the difference with the paint is truly incredible.
I am unable to pull words together that do justice to your work here.
More power to your elbow Colin.
Keith
I also like the portrait Lynne had painted of you for you.........maybe your next selfy sculpt?

More work on the oak leaves on his plastron and collar.

I'm thinking this is my favourite of yours to date. Not only do I love the lancer uniform but you've executed it perfectly.
The face is outstanding as well... very subtle transitions.

Hey! You weren't supposed to mention the dresses :sorry:

Thanks Colin. I have pretty much settled on oils for my busts. The result is much brighter and it's so much easier to get the transitions when working in this large size. I am also using them for a small 28mm vignette of the light companies of e 9me Ligne in Russia. I am using Victrix wargame multipose figs for that. They are awesome. Will post something when I am far enough along.

Don't worry Colin we're all adults here and we know the truth of the Lumberjack song... Happy Canada day
