As a new member; I am still in the process of exploration & navigation of this site. I have found it most interesting, informative and enjoyable...but in the process, have come up with a few areas and/or questions.

1. What is the difference between (vBench & Showcase & Highlights)? I posted on (15) images on (vBench) and received much appreciated feedback...I also posted (2) dioramas on (Showcase & Highlights) and have received (0) feedback. Why and which forum should I stick with?

2. I asked before and did not receive any reply. If I wish to post additional images on (vBench)...do I have to start a new thread or can I post additional images on my original thread? If I can post on my original thread...how do I do it?...Please make the answer in simple (step-by-step) language...as I stated prior...I am what is known as a computer idiot (I know very little about computer operation(s) beyond turn on/turn off and going to several sites I frequent.

First, I think vBench is the most visited forum on this site, hence the feedback weighted to that forum. Just my own observation.

At the bottom of an active thread is the text box where you type your reply. Below the text box are buttons... "Post Reply" and "Upload File". It works the same as when you started your thread... Type your text-upload pics from your computer-apply them into your message as thumbnails-post reply.
That way you can create a continuous thread following the progression of a project by adding pics as the project developes.

I hope that helps...

Colin

Yeah, I think most of us view the vBench as a place where we show and discuss our works in progress, so you're much more likely to get feedback. The Showcase & Highlights section seems more like just a display area and thus you don't get a lot of feedback there. And, like Colin said, vBench is probably the most visited area on this site.

Yes, you can upload more files to your current thread or start a new one. The choice is yours. In addition to what Colin said, if you click the 'More Options...' button you should be taken to a screen very much like the one where you started the thread. You don't need to do that but it might be easier for you to use.

Thank you for your reply & information Colin...I clearly understood it and followed it. I was able to install my (2nd) series of images on my original thread...You guys are great and I really appreciate your communications...Paul!

I ran into the same issues when I started. I am used to giving simple instructions... I have a teenaged boy and coached minor hockey for 25 years... No one is simpler than a teenaged hockey player:wacky::LOL:

Glad I could be of service

Colin
