Here are some pics of my latest figure - it's painted in acrylics. I changed the face slightly - altered the shape of the nose and the beard. Hope you like it.

Good looking figure but doesn't look oriental enough for me.

True but that's really down to the sculptor (though Edward does say that he did a nose job and hair transplant and of course the skintones are down to him).

There's no verified picture of G-K but various later ones here and Kublai here plus general refs to 'Mongol' features. and this (c2.58) is probably fairly realistic (for him, not necessarily the 'whirling dervish swordsmen)... and a great film.

Thanks a lot for the comments guys! For the face, I took inspiration from the movie "Mongol" - the actor is actually Japanese though!

Yes, he is Japanese but seemingly they share the same eye shape (vs Chinese) and otherwise he shows the same sort of flattened/squarish face/nose and wispy beard that I don't feel your bod quite captures* ... but, as I said in agreement with Winfield, in that the subdued colours are spot on, so as a piece of painting it's good.

*but there again, I've yet to post any of my work, so I can hardly criticise o_O

Excellent work here Edward,my favourite Version of this classic from Franks range,I have informed him to take a look at your outstanding Version....I personally like this better than the Box art, because I love the subdued Palette.....Bravo buddy great Art.
Regards
Pete

It's a very nice figure but it might be me but it looks caucasian to me.Sort of like when Gerald Butler play Attila in a movie years ago.:ROFLMAO:
