I am humbled sir. This would be amazing in much larger scales. My friend "Kansas Kid" told me to look for your figure, he was correct, I am blown away. Paul.........

Brown pants here unnecessary. (n) Beautiful painting, but such a photo is always a very strong distortion of the actual color shades.

Hi Dmitri!

Some Heer soldiers used "brown" / "Olive Drab" tropical M40 trousers in Stalingrad because much of them came from DAK.

Cheers,
Pedro.

Beautiful painting of an excellent figure.

I share the same doubt about the unexpected brownish color. We can see the different shades of clothing in the picture, but to me it`s a degree of dirt vs. recently washed cloth. Lots a red brick dust around, no? Assuming the original picture is color, could be that the reds are pushed too much. Color film quality at the time were so-so. Anything is possible of course, but where would the non-regulation pants come from? The German 6th Army was a top-notch unit (as it entered Stalingrad), and was well equipped.

Cheers,

Patrick

Thank you all!
Maybe you'r right,Patrick ,but I just decided that it will be more interesting to use two different shades in this case.

Dear Pedro
I've never seen the color of the BROWN pants from DAK, who drew the artist. Most likely these pants he confiscated from the local population, the only way to logically explain their color.
