A Fixture
This is an update to my previous posting for The German Motorcyclist sculpt which can be found here:
http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37420
This shows the original sculpt as completed. My client wanted to do a two figure set from the same basic figure. So with some changes to the basic parts, I created two different figures.
Castings were made from the original sculpt so that I could make the necessary changes. This is the second figure created with a new head and arms. I also added the goggles to his collar area. After all, I couldn't do this figure without the requisite cigarette, could I? These changes clearly differentiate this figure form the original.
The original figure also received some minor rework. The major job here was to rework the back of the figure to eliminate the slung rifle and replace it with a pistol holster. The holster is for a Mauser HSc, a small pocket sized pistol along the lines of the more popular Walther PPK. The final change was to add goggles of a different style to the helmet.
So, in answer to questions in the original thread: yes, there will be two figures available to man both motorcycle and side-car for the upcoming Tasca 1/24th scale motorcycle kit. Tasca has a reputation for extremely fine molding, so this model should be something to look forward to....
Cheers!!
