Well, I like it a lot Nick.

nice contractions of the fabrics at the bottons. Beautiful fur collar too.
The ropes are interesting and I love the cap.

very well done.

Some great details Nick. Not sure about the rope ending in the air at the front, might have been better tucked in.

Grüß Di' Nick,

Nice overall presentation...great job on the sculpt...excellent details with everything. But I do have a couple of critiques.

On the technical aspects of Gebirgsjägers and mountaineering there are some problems. One...the heavy sheepskin-lined Swedish coat that he's wearing is not something that would be worn for climbing. I own one of these coats...it's big, bulky, and somewhat restrictive for climbing on the mountain.

My second issue is with the rope...just not enough of it. A standard climbing rope used by the Gebirgsjägers was 10mm x 40 meters which makes for a big coil. Here are some Gebirgsjägers with climbing ropes over their shoulders:

Hope this constructive critique helps.

Hi Nick,
I have got to agree with all the other comments, overall very nice figure but the rope is just not looking right and your eyes are distracted by this.

As Patrick pointed out it needs to be double the volume and a knot. If you look at the Young's Soviet Mountaineer bust which was recently reviewed on here you see the impact the rope has on enhancing the bust.
cheers

hi guys thanks for your kind comments and once again thanks for the great reference i will be redoing the rope over this weekend as myself wasn't fully happy with it and Eric i thought they might not climb in this kind of coat but the rope was mainly for other people like me just so you can tell what it is at a glance once again a massive thank you
cheers nick(y)

He looks good Nick, some very nice detail there and different textures.
the rope issue that Carl mentions is an easy fix.(y)
