I whas able to finish this great bust that is produced by Frank Miniatures. It is a limited edition and when I spoke to Frank in Ransart there are only a few left.
As always it is painted with oils.
Every comment good or bad is welcome. I'm into the learning curve.

Hello Marc.
I think is good work. Likes me leather a lot.
You have a bit of the blue out of the eye at his left eye

Beautiful work Marc. The work on the leather looks great, not to over done but yet looks very worn. Great skin tones.

Mark

Marc - How did you make the leather look so worn and faded? I'm trying to improve my meager painting skills.

All the best,
Dan

Here it is.
. I start with a mix of marsbrown and sepia. This gives a fine dark brown and is easy to highlight with mars orange and shading with sepia.
The worn and faded is done with the mars orange and naples yellow mix to the color I like.
Building up in tree or four times.

Marc
