I am working on a alpine figure at the moment and having a rookie problem on mixing oils to get my desired color. If anyone has any mixtures in oils for german uniforms i would much appreciate it.
thanks in advance

Hi David!

This is my usual mix:
Undercoat with Tamiya RLM GREY
Oils
Olive grey (4) + Grey (1)
Lights small dots of Napples Yellow
Shadow small dots Olive grey

and this is the result.(y)

There are many other possibilities but with this one, I achieved what you see in the pic.

Anything just ask!

Awesome ! Thanks for the help pedro
What oils do you use ? I have winsor newton just from what people have told me to get
So I have a good range of their colors. What oils do you use or prefer ?

David I use Winson and winton and newton, Van gogh and rembrant.
The best for me is W&N.
Cheers

Which colours specifically David?

Could you list your paints? Helps with making suggestions so that a mix doesn't rely on something you don't own.

There are numerous prior threads which ask about mixing Feldgrau and a few other colours, to see the range of ways people mix for the same colours - many low-key colours can be mixed in a great many ways, sometimes more than two or three just using a single palette.
