My first historical figure...

i'm very affectionate at this 75mm , i spent about 6 months of painting...
i made many experiments for improve my skills on this my first historical painting

this is the last and final version :D

it's won 3th place at Girona World expo Standard class
and
Best of Standard at Le Petit Soldat 2008

...two unexpected results :)

Wow!!! Very nice work on your 1st Historical Figure, hope you do many more. I love the way you have tackled the furs. The sheild design is superb as well.

I can see why it took those awards.......outstanding work. The flesh tones......the fur cape.....the groundwork all come together for a beautiful historical miniature. What will be your 2nd Historical figure?

hi Zajon, looks amazing, how do you do the groundwork?? those green plants?? congrats
cheers
saludos

Nice work Zajon, I remember seeing this at Girona World expo and liked it then. I too have a great affection for this figure, one of Pegaso's best I think.

Congratulations on your Bronze at Girona ( I was lucky enough to receive a bronze in the masters for my Germanic too ) and also for your award at Le Petit Soldat...both well deserved.

Cheers Steve Walks

Zajon,
Beautiful work. Well deserved I agree w/ Hardy's insightful comment that with such close up images you can fully appreciate how clean and precise your work is.
Keep them coming mate!
