Hi Everyone,
My first Thread to this Forum having just joined the community so I'm experimenting with this one to make sure I can utilise the upload template correctly. Please excuse me if I'm making any rookie mistakes with either Forum choice or tech handling. Hopefully the moderators will be kind to me if this causes any work at their end (apologies in advance).
Anyway, here is a member of a goblin cavalry unit the way I prefer my 'Greenskins' to look. A mix of the Forgeworld Night Goblin Command Squig with many alterations and enhancements and a virtually scratch-built rider, utilising a much carved about member of the Games Workshop Squig Riders set. The piece is 45mm in height from the feet of the Squig to the top of the goblin's helmet. All putty applications were Milliput and all painting is done with Humbrols and artists oils. All metallic surfaces are finished in NMM processes, there were no so-called 'true metallics' used here. The free-hand on the lance banner identifies it as a battle trophy from an engagement with human foes whereby our intrepid hero ripped a segment from their heraldic standard on which he has painted his own design.
This is my first completed fantasy figure for many years, having been a long time devotee of 54mm historical cavalry but even if this isn't your bag, I hope you find something of interest that might transfer to your own projects.
Thank you very much for looking
