Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,

I have been frequenting the forums on this site now for quite some time, admiring from a far the skill and finesse exhibited by the sculptors and painters on this very informative site.
I now feel the time is right for me to introduce myself and to post my current project so that I can progress my efforts.
I have to date only painted two 120mm figures, an Alpine WSS Grenadier "Wiking" and the Jon Smith Modelbau German Infantry NCO.

My current project is the Hawk miniatures 1/12 Vice Admiral Horatio, Lord Nelson.

I look forward to hearing from you

Best Regards

Keith.

Good Evening Gentlemen,

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I forgot to mention previously that I am planning to progress my painting skills with acrylics.
My previous two figures were both painted in this way, as you can see below I have included some images.
The Grenadier was my first figure then the NCO was the second.

I am planning to start a post with the "Lord Nelson" figure so that I can ask some questions on how best to paint it. As you can see from above, my figure painting technique so far is fairly bland and I wish to try and improve this by using a higher contrast method, which I see most people prefer here.

Best Regards

Keith

Welcome to a planet!
It's a wonderful work, isn't it?
I'm a fan of ALPINE, too.
I'm also looking forward to a your new work .

Cheers.

Carl, Thank you, they are both great figures to paint even for a novice.

Jon, Thank you, the NCO figure was the last one that I painted. the link you have posted is fantasrtic, the figure is painted in a very realistic manor indeed, definitely not over stated, but very impressive.

Thanks Gordy.

Best Regards

Keith
