Hello everybody!

this is vignette I'm currently working on. Tamiyas 8.5 mortar operated by a couple of gebirgsjäger veterans. I used the figures included in the kit as a base, but as you can se heavily reworked with magic sculp. The boots are from dml, head from hornet.

Nicely done, Lars! (Did I get your name right? Apologies if I didn't.) The folds in the clothing look well done, the poses are perfect, very believable, particularly with the grimace on the altered face. You have some cracks and defects to fill in, but that's normal at this stage (at least it is in my sculpting! :) ) Difficult to judge from pictures, but looking at the figure that has no head, I might be concerned that the green armature chest and arms might be too thick. When you put on the next layer of putty to make the coat, that layer may have to be mighty thin. Do you see what I mean? Keep up the good work! I look forward to your next post!

All the best,
Dan

Yes indeed you got my name rigth, and many thanks för your encouraging words.

I'm mostly in to tanks and other armour stuff but have allways had a thing for figure modelling and painting.
The arms on the headless guy is not prepared for the final layer of putty yet. I have to file and cut away some some plastic first so you're quite right, it's still a little to thick.

Best reagrds Lars

Thank's Christos.
Janne: I've been around, a quick visit at open earlier this year, loved your box dio. Actually I am moving to Stockholm this fall. Maybe I'll get a to see you then?
Sorry for being a bit off topic, now moving along with the second guy.
Head, again from hornet with a dml cap. As you can see I prepared and thinned down the arms.

Continuing with this little vignette. The last days I've turned my attention to the groundwork. Not really a sculpting issue but I don't know how to create a workbench account, so bear with me..

The setting is the arctic front, late 44, petsamo/kirkenes. I tried to achieve the looks of the arctic tundra. The small trees, made by twisted wire, they are supposed to be mountain birches.

Wow, the figs look extremly nice! You are working exact the same way I did mostley: Instead of an armature witch has to be fleshed out, we use figures from different brands, thin them out and make new surfaces. Looks top notch and I can´t wait to see what you are doing with the Equipment.

And witch snow you will use or how you do it eventually by yourself.
