Hello All fellow Planet Figure members.

I just finished this beautiful piece from Andrea Miniatures and I would like to share it with you. I know that you have used to see me painting only Napoleonic figures, but this one is a special occasion, since I will gift this figure to my girlfriend, who loves Ancient Greek History.
So it was a good opportunity to finally paint something else :)
Any comments and critics are welcomed.

Great work on both the figure and the base. congrats my friend.no doubt your girl friend will like it .
best regards

Hello,
nice name - the historic Xenophon is my favorite ancient Hellas personality - the man behind the art of equitation and warhorse training - the author of many books but espeicaly this one -On Horsemanship ! and ofcourse the Anabasis:)
and your work here is very nice!
but I would change the title - there is no way this helmet belonged to 460 BC (bce).
it is rather at least a century or more younger :) - well actaully Andrea as usual mixed a few things, they are not reallyparticularly attentive to the historicity of their figures.
but Xenophon, it is your choice of course!

Thanks Engin :) I hope that she will like it.
Dario thanks a lot for the information. I also thought at the beginning that there's something wrong with the helmet and the perior, but.. ohhh well..

Wekk it was about time to do something diffewrent even for the shake of a woman !!!!! LOL
Its a nice effort on your side Xenofon , and i wish we will soon see different themes on your bench !!!!

Thanks a lot for your kind comments Costas and Christos. As you correctly said, women have a big power, but I found it as a good opportunity as well.. to change style (just for 1 figure anyway).

Thanks a lot Marc. I really tried to put a good effort on this figure since it was a present.. and also out of my era of interest.
Hmm now that I'm thinking of it.. I have also have to do the templar of Romeo (another figure out of my era of interest)... Ohhh boy ehehehehe.
