So as i was already in greek thematology with the Eyzon i decided to paint this gem sculpted by Maurizio, to whom i want to dedicate it ...I didnt need much pressure to be convinced ...LOL

This time i decided to quit a bit from vertical overhead lighting and perform a different source of lighting coming from the viewer and tothe figure like a horizontal direction one . Just for difference.

I guess this will be more evident on the shield. I dont know if i succeed, but at least i tried !

The figure is tottally in Valejo Acrylivs and some printers inks for the metals . Shield is freehand, the same scheme that boxart has but a bit expanded onthe shield , i wanted the creature to be like coming out of the bottom of the shield ....

Maybe i am affected by loosing weight with this diet ? ....who knows !!!

Sorry for not the best pictures but my camera has some problem

All comments and critics welcome

hi brother,
top quality paintwork on a top quality sculpt... i loved the shield design so much.congrats :)

 wow beautiful paint job.realy nice figure to

can you tell me what collor did you use for the armor

the base is beautiful to

master \/ peace ;)

cheers ronald

Engin and Ronald thanks a lot for your comments

The Armor goes like that : (maybe is not tto orthodox but is just how i usually do it )

base : Dark mix of gold printers ink and Cassel Earth oil paint thinned but less than a wash , just as normal paint ,in 2 well dried coats.

Then starting to light up the highlighted areas with lighter mixes of the base (adding more gold ink) and at the same time darkeningthe shadowed areas with thinned Cassel earth - Burned Umber oil mix.

When a contrast has ben created i highlight the extreme lights with Valejjo Super Gold and i darken the shadows low with an oil mix wash of Black -Cassel Earth color .

Thats it May sounds messy but its fun. Only thing is to give time to dry . Iused also a hair blower to save some time

I hope ihelped some

Hi Coastas,

you painted a very good figure choise.
Your paint is also very good.
It's dificult to choose a diferent light than zenithal.
You did it well on the shield, but some other part (right arm, armor)are still lighted like a zenith thechnic. But at least you tried it. I still did not try it (maybe because I'm scared to do a big mistake), and for sure I'd like to succes it like you did.

Nice touch with the base ground.

Anyway, good final result ;)
