Very nice painting Carl, I take it its all acrylics, the face looks real nice and I like the transition between the blends on the skin tones, hope you bring it along next week to Euro too see it for real

Cheers
Tommi

Carl, I don't want to sound rude to be certain ;) , especially because I really like what you achieved with the flesh tones and tattoos, but the main belt looks like it was not painted and his boots look as if they are only in undercoat. (?) If I'm missing something, and you are still working on this guy, then please feel free to completely ignore this schmuck's comments! If you're finished with him, then I might look at those areas again. Yours in friendly suggestion.....

Nice eye Jay, I see the same thing after you mention it. Besides these two easy fixes this is really a great piece, possibly your best effort to date. You are really getting this thing down and you sure paint fast. Nice work sir and the tats look stellar.

Thanks for the comments chaps. As for the belts and boots, they are shaded and highlighted. Although the belt is subtle, as I wanted it to look black. The boots have probably lost their definition due to the powders. Tommi I'll bring it to Euro, I may even enter it in the comp. Just so it can be ignored.
I'll take another look at the points mentioned, and thanks again,
Carl.

Youza Baby! Now this is my arena, very well done Carl. I will agree the boots could use an oil shading, just a tad. All your highlights and shadows look great on the uniforms, (subtle is best), etc. and the facial expression is right on! Colors look great too, green camo on the pants appears a bit bright, but the pattern looks dialed in. That bright green can be toned down a bit since you aren't completely done yet. Over all a superb job so far and I really like the beard. lGreat work Carl!!(y)(y)

Cheers, Ski.:D

How fast you are Carl:eek: superb finish I like your Green beret very much and the tatoo in the left arm is amazing.(y):)

Thanks again for taking the time to have a look. I'll do make adjustments, going from what's been said.
Cheers,
Carl.

He looks great mate. The overall tone is brilliant. The tri-colour turned out nice.
Might want to shade the boots little tho, they look a little flat.
Great crisp painting and the tats look great.
What scale is this Charlie?

Saw this in the flesh yesterday, superb painting and with the suggested changes made it'll be well worth another look at Euro. (y)

Cheers Ken
