I was recommended here by ajlafleche on Fine Scale Forums.
quick intro... I have been building for like 3 years. I started snapping together gundam kits. I stoped for a few years and got back into it about three years ago. I snapped them for about a year then started to paint and all of that, the real way. From that (though I still enjoy it) I have moved onto building scale. I have built 2 tanks so far, a patton blazer, and a Kv-2. I am also working my first dio.

Now, to the topic at hand. I have an idea for a new project. I want to build a Dio of the first Capture point of the first level of 'Dust Bowl' From the game 'Team Fortress 2.'

Building the Dio itself is no problem, the problem is the figures.
There are atleast 9 figures I am going to have to either modify or create myself.

The problem is, I am new to this. I know how to take a 1/35 figure thats already made and make it a blank template by sanding off the details. But as far as changing the poses and the way the figures look themselves I have no idea, so I am looking for help.

I have some scratch building skills, I have already scratch built, or started to scratch build some of the weapons and misc things. The Turret, the scout's bat, spy's sapper, and I have started working on the Pyro's flame thrower (rather big item even at 1/35th)

So can you guys help me?

I'm a beginning sculptor myself, but I would start making wireframes or use a mannequin of the positions you want. And try to create the characters. For heads you could buy a metal head set from one of the company's and adjust them to your characters faces.

Marcel.
