I agree with you.
I don't go near video games now. But SP kept me entertained whilst the shoulder knitted back together.
Games are for playing with other people.
Much like sex.

Now I have got to agree with your last comment, rugby can't be played solo you'd just look like a dick and sex, well DIY is a much used insult, but they exist in abundance!

I took another crack at the horse, not thinning the paint so much this time, I wanted the upper portions to be a little darker so I used Burnt Umber and a touch of Chrome Orange to enrich the tone and give it a little more opacity. I did this with wide flat brushes, both applying and emoving paint, I now have some soft sponges for the next one. A little self conscious looking through the cosmetics shelves in Asda, crew cut, bearded, tattooed wearing an ACDC t-shirt, well it amused me.

I have also been working on the rider and saddle, things are coming together nicely now, still a fair bit to do but more the part of the painting process I enjoy now.

Hi Simon

It was well worth loitering around the makeup counters , the work you did on the horse has added a lot to the overall look

Figures coming along well

Thanks for the updates

Look forward to seeing more

Happy benchtime

Nap

PS Lipstick welcome at Bugle Call ......just saying ...LOL

The horse is definitely getting better, much more depth and you are right to keep the undersides a bit lighter. The saddlecloth and figure are looking very good...

Well, you're certainly playing up the AC/DC aspect......;):D

Cheers Kev, perhaps I'll go to Bugle Call as Alice Cooper!

Cheers Nigel, yes things are all coming together for this fella now, probably the part I like best. As for ACDC the closest I could claim is wearing shorts like Angus.

A quick progress report, the lace and braiding is now underway, started by making sure it was white as yellow is rather transparent. First layer was Vallejo German Yellow, fairly dull but more opaque than other yellows. The top coat is SC 75 Sol Yellow, nice and bright. I will be working up the shade with Citadel Purple ink and keeping highlights to an absolute minimum.

I also added some highlights to the booting and his boots using Sc 75 Iroko, I think I'll leave them as done now, too.much highlight will.be distracting when viewing the figure as a whole.
