Hi Guys
Sadley we come across this issue not to often thank god , but I feel I have to make this point
Modling for many is a hobby and a fantastic one at that .
We all have different circumstances personal financial , but the money we put through to figure makers is our little bit of saved income and giving it to companys "gives them an income "
Customer service costs nothing but the return can be wonderful for a business , figures are a lot of money and I buy because I want to not because I have to , the service you get from the vast amount of companys is fantastic
Beware those who have a lack lustre approach to those who press the paypal button that finger can very easily go another direction .
Politeness interest in a person who has phoned your business at their cost to spend their money on their product costs nothing
Perhaps even answering the phone saying who indicating that the caller has got through to the correct company instead of a gruff hello
Off soap box

C'mon guys who are we talking about?......if the company is named it may give him a chance to correct his mistakes in lack of customer care in the future.....?????maybe?

If its good to name and praise good service ....its good to name bad. Otherwise the good is meaningless,,,,touted for even !!!

This puts all manufacturers in a bad light and by implication says we are all bad by not naming the one.

I would guess its not about a product purchase etc but more something the manufacturer probably doesn't want ,,,so cant be bothered. Bad manners possibly but the silence may be a hint.

Its hard to gain a reputation and to run a hobby venture, this stuff just makes it worse.

I agree Mate and after reflection perhaps Bonapartes were having a bad day perhaps not it's just the fact that I had sent an email the day before , no reply then I make the effort to phone and it all seems like to much bother and the process of them having to go back to the caster no idea of cost etc etc etc , not sure how they replace damaged parts that might have been no fault of the purchaser perhaps they just don't bother .
I love post Militare models and they bring back such wonderful memories and are timeless classics
Any further purchases will be from legit eBay sellers , and to say once again I am not a recaster I am just a modler who during the transit process back to the Uk after my died lost some parts
Your selfs stew Gra Steve Gordon to mention but are few are first class and you will have continued custom
If I have ruffled a few feathers so be it, but as the purchaser I have that right to expect that and those that provide will have my continued support
Cheers Chris

Maybe it's me but I know I expect decent standards of service & if I don't receive that then I'm very unlikely to return to that seller. I accept that anybody can make mistakes; missing/wrong/damaged parts etc but it's how that issue is resolved that matters. If a supplier has to recast a whole kit just to get one part that's his problem not the customers.

Hi Geoff
I agree entirely I had a business which was based on people's disposable income pension salary etc if we had not stepped up to the plate that disposable income went some where else pretty damn quick, it's a very simple business strategy ...... And guess what it works

It is interesting to read the responses on this thread. I know that it is possibly frustrating to read my inferences and I fully understand that my method of dealing with this is quintessentially English, but I do not wish to cast aspersions without allowing the person in question the right of reply. Therefore, it is my intention to approach said trader personally at a show and to discuss this issue in a civil manner, rather than over a public forum.

Suffice to say, that none of the contributing traders here have anything to worry about and I do not wish to call their integrity into question.

I hope that I can resolve this issue by taking this stance, as confrontation does not sit comfortably with me.

Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment,

Steve

Hi Steve

I would be interested to know if it is Bonaparte's that you are referring to as I have checked emails and none from a Steve requesting missing/spare parts. I know you have not said it is us but a few people have decided to make up their own minds, so would like to clarify!!

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul,

No, it is certainly not Bonaparte's - I have never had occasion to contact you for any reason. If my vague post has caused you problems, then I apologise!

If you refer to my post above, I have decided to speak to the trader in person as soon as I am able, at one of the shows. Perhaps I can then get an explanation for the lack of response.

Cheers,

Steve(y)

Steve.
I have read all this thread and participated in it, by not naming the offending person has only caused speculation and dare I say harm to firm/s who are not guilty.

It would appear that the popular finger was pointed at Bonaparte's, unfairly.

You have clarified it is not Bonaparte's , So who will be picked on next?????

So I ask. You started this, Name the company involved and stop this witch hunt.
