Completed Critique Groundwork For Us Civil War Figure 54mm

This is the base groundwork for a 54mm figure that i´m working on these days.
This is a little space, everything is tiny, but anyway I think it is realistic.

Pedro - Interesting you do the groundwork first. I just starting doing that as when I finish a figure the last thing I want to do is groundwork....hence my groundwork is rushed and generally sucks. This looks really nice and real for a relatively new fence, which is perfectly credible in the 1860's.

I am workin on Andrea´s Miniatures Zouave, beautiful figure with a excellent pose but very difficult to paint (blues and reds).

Regarding the fence I was not sure about the realism, anyway this is just the way I know to do the woodgrain but for future I will study other ways to do that.

Very nice indeed Pedro, Mrs Helm (a Southern Belle) says that you may if you want to be hyper realistic use this style as it was more commonly used as seen in the ACW picture from Bull Run

Your foliage looks excellent Pedro, plants and flowers are nicely scaled and colours are vibrant, very realistic, I like the way you painted the fence, it has the look of freshly sawn wood. Groundwork is one of my favourite parts of figures.
