Hello. Working with Guard Artillery Officer, Verlinden kit#1689. Uniform parts as follows:

Fur Colpak headdress
Hussar style pelisse and boots
Hussar style dolman on shoulder

Box art (see below) shows black colpak w/ red bag edged gold, blue habit w/ gold braiding and sash, and blue dolman with gold/braiding. I am guessing this uniform is ca. 1805-1812?

Have searched Internet for hours and can find no information on this uniform, and I have no reference material at all on Napoleonic uniforms.

Wondering if there might be some information people can share on uniform variants? Is there a good website that might show this uniform and some variations, which I may not have found in my searching?

I tend to prefer the more colorful uniforms, and this uniform as shown on the boxart is a little to "blue", so I am hoping there might be some regimental variations.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Lamp,

You are pretty much stuck with this one if you intend to do an Imperial Guard Horse Artillery Officer. You could do the gloves and boots in black, but that would make it even more dull.

Now, with a little re-sculpt and change here and there you could simply do him as an Hussar officer from one of the 11 regiments (LOTS of colour there!) or an ADC to Messena, Bessier, Bernadotte or Mortier or even a Gurad Chasseur officer.

Let me know if you want further information.

Justin :)
