Hello The World of Planet Figure,]
I have recently come into possession of a guards colour sergeant wearing the pill box hat and the white drill jacket.
Keen to get the detail correct questions:-
1. The hat badge would it be gilt?
2. The stripes on the sleeve would they be gold thread or white and what colour would the trim around them be?
4.The crown above stripe gilt or brass?
4. His sash scarlet or a darker red?
Many thanks to to answers give. As stated keen to get this right and have an awareness that The Household Division ranks and uniforms are somewhat labyrinthine. If any of the above it totally off the mark guidance to being on the correct path welcome.
Yours,
Lightbob.

Thanks for the steer Nap. The figure that I have is the very one by Sid Horton, that is the focus of the thread you gave the link to.
I knew that I'd seen this figure before but my initial trawl of this site and a few other didn't through up the reference.
May try to add a few medal ribbons. Spotted these on other drill jackets but then again maybe that would be incorrect, especially for The Guards.. Maybe one day I'll see/get a copy of - "The Badges of Warrant and Non Commissioned rank in the British Army", by Major N.P. Dawnay 1949
Thanks again.
