Nice work Guy, I especially like the blonde hair. For some reason every other rendition I've seen of this gives her a Welsh Celt dark look. Nice to see a change.

I'll be interested to see your Merlin.

Thanks Richard, I have seen several different renditions of the figure done and decided to break away from the dark look and also give more contrast to the red upper part of her dress by making her a blonde. I have base coated Merlin for the flesh but am undecided as to what colors to do him in. Any ideas or suggestions from anyone?

Don't know what the Merlin actually looks like, but for my two pence, don't forget he would have been a druid charcter and would have spent most of his time outside, in the sun. Please don't do him as a pale old man. ;

Thanks Richard, I am not famous for pale anything so he will be my typical dark skin. I will post a pic of Merlin and the pieces that comprise the figure.

Just my thing, lots of flowing robes and folds. I'd be tempted to convert to a Kievan Prince

Keep us posted, I've just read the book by Howard Reid, about the legend so I've got an interest at the moment.

Hi Guy,
I don't know how you manage to produce such beautiful work as fast as you do.
Your proficiency amazes me.What is your secret?
Keep up the great work and happy painting.
