Hi all.
Starting this 1/12 bust from H&V miniatures, sculpt by Juan Diaz.
Thanks for watching.

Not a fan of Mr Shakespeare by any stretch of the imagination but there are a wealth of characters in his collective works that will be instantly recognisable. Great looking bust, going to enjoy watching you bring him to life.

Cheers

Thank you Adrian, Kevin, Simon, Ned and Steve.
This is how the hair stands after a lot of hours spent on it (it looks better at my eyes than at the photos, but that's the problem of fatherood).
For those interested I joint a picture of the colours I used so far.
Ciao, Pedro

So it looks better in person, wow because I can see the depth and tonal transitions and I have to say I'm really impressed, love it.

Cheers Simon

The skull is done. I'm still in doubt if I should paint the plinth black or just varnish it. What do you think?

Here's how a black base would look. I think it ties in with Hamlet's dark thoughts and the "inky cloak" he wears in mourning of his father.

Beautiful job on this piece, by the way!

Nice work Pedro. The jewelry looks particularly well done. I also like your colour choices.

As to the base, I’d suggest a light varnish, with a yellow-ish tint. It would nicely mirror the blonde hair.
But I also like the dark one of the previous post.

Cheers
