DioramaArt
A Fixture
WW1 British Gas attack on MG08 team.
The figures used in the scene came from ICM 1/35 figure kits, converted specifically for the diorama some with hornet heads resculpted.
Gas as a form of warfare is a hideous weapon, unstable on the battlefield causing debilitating and horrendous injury and agonising death. Mustard gas being amongst the worst. One positive that came out of mustard gas invention, the scientific realisation that the effect on human white blood and cancerous cells led to what is now chemotherapy, so the legacy of that gas has been to save far more than it ever killed as a weapon.
I wanted to create a small figure diorama, using the elevation of a shallow improvised trench late WW1.
Some build images.
