Please tell me how you secure a small head for painting...I've seen lots of photos on PF but don't see how to do it.
Mine has an angled neck and I ended up holding it, not the best method:notworthy:

I drill a hole and use a self tapper (screw). Then just unscrew it when ready for fitting.
Some drill, glue in a piece of wire and use a pin vice.

You can drill the hole parallel to the neck which will give more space to drill. I use copper wire superglued in the hole and allows easy bending when attaching the head permanently to the finished body. This allows a little flexibility to meet the hole in the top of the figure and for final alignment of the head.

Thanks guys, I do have a Dremel tool, if that would work could you advise the right bit?
I'd never be able to hold a big drill steady:eek:

A Dremel will drill really fast so watch your fingers and the heat generated.:eek: I usually use a regular hand pin vise to drill. If it is a metal head then the drill can easily bind up/snap with a dremel.
Cheers
