Cheers Neil, I have the next chap all lined up and ready to go.Keep em coming Simon! Looking great.
Cheers Kev, seems I can't escape the pull of the Napoleonic era, hoping to start number two any day now.Hi Simon
Well you are a clever sausage , that first looks really good , plenty of “ Napoleonic “ on him and the horse ...liking the movement
Horse has come out good as well
Looking forward to seeing #2
Happy benchtime

Thank you Paul, I am rather pleased with how he turned put, incidentally I forgot to mention when I posted him the sword broke early on in painting. Following the example of a fella called Robert Truscott on the FB Historex Small Builds Group I hammered and filed a new blade fron brass rod. Not even I can snap.that accidentally!Dear Simon, I am really impressed with your patience on this project. Your modelling skills and careful painting have really paid off. I look forward to the next instalment!
p.s you mentioned a brighter red colour in an earlier post. Could I recommend Scalecolour Artist Primary red (code SART- 05) this is the one on a small 20ml toothpaste tube. It is very bright and does have a toothpaste like consistency. I used it as a base red on the roman figure I painted last year. I hope this helps. Keep well.
Cheers, Paul
Cheers Kim, no worries about the correct nomenclature as I don't understand it all any way, especially not the stroppy bits on the horses!Simon,
Nice to meet you in person recently.
I have to say...this just 'keeps on giving'. There is just so much action in this one section of the eventual group diorama. The horse's head movement, the soldiers arm and shout, the loose rein and then the colours, especially the metals [breast plate!!] and the detail all around the jacket/coat [still trying to learn all the nomenclature with the Napoleonics].
Keep up the good work and the 'enjoying'. We [pF] all seem be enjoying it too!
Regards,
Kim
Cheers Malc, got my date for the hip op in April so I'll have no excuse not to be at my bench after that! That is awesome, great work.

Yeah BMSS Annuals might be a bummer unless I can get a lift, though I am the usual driver so I might have to co opt family members as I really want to attend. First time I've said that about a BMSS event in years!Hi Simon
Glad the Op dates come through ....presume you won’t make it to BMSS Nationals ! Hope all goes well ..leave nurses alone
Look forward to seeing more on #2
Happy benchtime

Very kind of you, at the mo my wife will take me and hopefully pick me up as well! I'll also have Brian as he doesn't drive. If you need a lift, I may be able to accommodate you as I go past Farnham on my way to Reading and Farnborough is not too far out of the way.
