This my effort at painting this 'golden oldie'
As usual, paints are a mixture of enamels, oils, printers inks and Darkstar acrylic metals.
I've attempted to follow the colour of the 'armour' worn by Eric Bana in Troy.
Achilles is currently not far behind.

Hi Andrew

Very nicely done , I can see it's a detailed piece , did you drybrush the armour , looks really good

Really must watch film !

Look forward to Achilles

Always good to see your artwork

Why not enter something in the class of your choice in FOTM , don't forget we also have the Vignette & Diorama comp , please take the time to consider and also do vote as well

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to the next thread

Happy benchtime

Hi Kevin,

Thank you very much.
The armour was a series of hit and miss stages using darkened bronze (Darkstar molten metal), then bronze and silver printers ink mixed with dark brown oils until it eventually looked about right.
Yes, I did finish by dry brushing a mix of the bronze and silver printers inks (ex. El Greco) for the highlights.

Cheers,
Andrew
