Hi everyone,

I’ve been modeling for years. Mostly airplanes and cars but have always wanted to paint figures. Years ago I bought a few Verlinden busts and a couple of other 120mm full figures but things happened in my life and they sat in a drawer all this time. I retired a while back and now have the time to pick it up and put time into it.

I started my first 200mm bust yesterday and did the eyes first. What a disaster. I am looking forward to doing until it gets better. I have already gotten a couple of great suggestions from forum members. Seeing the work done here is an inspiration. I know even the best painters started at the beginning.

I don’t know if I’ll settle on a particular era to work in but I love history from ancient times to modern. The colorful uniforms from the 18th century are sure attractive and there are some beautiful figures available.

I tend to stick with things and learn how to do them as well as I can. I really appreciate having this community to share it all with and learn from.
