Hello, nice to be here!

My name is Leo, I'm fairly new to "properly" engaging with the hobby (previous experience is mostly just the occasional Airfix/similar model plane kits).

I tend to focus on cavalry tack, any era/country at all, I love to see how both the actual equipment and the various roles horses/mules/etc. have played has developed over the millennia! I largely restrict my work to 1:9 scale as that's the smallest I can comfortably work at due to a couple of old work injuries that occasionally like to make life a little difficult. Luckily, it appears to be the most popular scale for miniature buckles and such to be produced!

Anyhow, its great to be here! I'll try and engage as much as I can but you know how life can get!

There are threads in Welcome Aboard about how to do things including posting pics on PF but do contact me always happy to help

We have a Marketplace where after members have contributed 50+ posts can use to sell , request if anyone has a model to sell etc...You might also pick up some rather good bargains !

We have V Bench for WIP's and also a Completed part ,reference section and much more

There's also Painting techniques where you will find much about Acrylics and Oils

ALL figures are welcome and of course Vignettes & Diorama ( we run friendly competitions if you wish as well , one where there are 3 classes to choose in which to enter )

There’s also a special comp to commemorate D Day 80
