I would kindly ask any guy that has the ability to get me 2-3 bottles of this so i can pass my next year (i use it quite a lot ), to contact me , and i will happily send through Pay - Pal the value of the paint and of course the cost of postage .

Lots of metals are coming to be painted till next summer (Expo) and with out this , i wont be happy to paint them

The sooner the better !!!!

Thanks in Advance

Can these be mailed or are they too flammable?

Since I'll be in the Detroit area, I might be able to check Michigan Toy Soldier this weekend. They usually have a good selection.

So how does the alcohol based paints compare to the regular Vallejo metallics? I really don't like the regular metallics, but I'd try the alcohol based if they are different.

Cheers,
Wendy

They have better pigment than the regular metallics, they are also brighter,I have used super silver for extra highlights.

Wendy these are not flammable and of course can be mailed. They work much better than the regular Valejo metallics as they dont have such grain and they make a realistic effect . The super gold is very very good to my opinion , and the super silver also .

i wish you good luck in finding them !!!!

Oops. I got ahead of myself. It's next weekend (Sept. 28) we'll be in the Detroit area. I'll let you know what I find. :)

I noticed they have Vallejo Alcohol based Super Gold at my local model shop, and I am thinking of trying it out (and maybe the Super Silver too).
But before I buy some can someone please tell me what should be used as thinner for it? Does it have to be alcohol, or can it be thinned with distilled water?

Hope this thread isn't too old to get a reply, lol.
