I'm planning a 75mm vignette which will require the front door of a mansion with fluted columns on each side of the door. Does anyone know of a source for the columns or do I have to sculpt them myself (yikes)?

Pete

Pete,

Don't rule out going to the Dollhouse section of Hobby Lobby. Also, VLS's 135th Construction BTLn line may have something that would be of some use.

This question came up before and the solution was "Cake decorating Columns" that can be obtained at some large Michaels, Hobby Lobby's and Party stores. They worked out very nicely and came in different sizes.

Guy beat me to it. Try columns for wedding cakes. I have several in differrent sizes.

This is my forth figure Ive made as an adult modeller. The pillars were made from using 1/35 scale corrugated steel wrapped around a halfround wooden rod.

Thanks guys! Those are all good ideas. I'll check out the cake decorating thing first.

Gordy, they need to be at least 100mm tall.

Pete, Okay, you have my attention. What is the project? Let me know how you make out finding your columns.~Gary
