Beautiful figure Pedro!
The flesh looks great so far... maybe a tiny bit more shading in the deeper areas. You'll know better when the cloth is blocked in.
I think with the colours... earth tones, greens as well as primary colours (red, blue, yellow) would work as long as they aren't too bright... sort of a faded washed out look. Not so much a "modern" tartan as more or a blocky, chequed or broad stripped pattern, like the pic you posted of the Gaul with the bronze horns on his helmet.
Blonde hair is hard. If you try a strawberry blond (reddish blonde) you can base with something like Vallejo Red Leather and bring it up by adding Goldbrown and then Flat Yellow then high highlight with Sand Yellow. Try it on a practice piece first but you might like the result... who knows?
Or try a really yellow blonde... Base in Flat Yellow, wash with a sepia ink then highlight up with touches of Flat Yellow, Sand Yellow, Ice Yellow with Ice Yellow+White at the tips and high spots.
Either way, the facial hair will tend to be redder on both blondes and strawberry blondes. Use the same colours as the hair (without the extreme highlights) then wash with red leather or a darker red brown.
Good luck with this guy. Following closely.
Cheers
Colin
