Dear friends!

Today we officially present our new kit, "Roman March, 1st century AD"!

Any war is not about battles but basically about maneuvers and displacements. Moreover in the case of the Roman army marches were carried out over long and very long distances. Mostly with all military and camp equipment carried by the soldiers themselves. This is how the image of a tired but a strong-willed soldier was born.
Idea was brilliantly embodied by the sculptor Ayrat Khairutdinov. Due to Legion`s сombat effectiveness and movement speed fundamentally depended on the competent placement of both soldier weapons and weighty belongings, we are sending many thanks to our friends from Legio XI Claudia Pia Fidelis. Guys provided us comprehensive support on historically accurate selection and correct march equipment placement based on the latest historical research and their own experience!

Scale 1: 9 (250mm).
Kit reference: Hi-B-003
Sculptor: Airat Khairutdinov (Айрат Хайрутдинов)
The kit is available for order. Write PM or email: [email protected]

The price is 69 Euros + shipping

Thanks Kevin! To order, you can write to [email protected] or send a personal message.

Could you post the price and payment options? I realize I can message you, but that kind of info is pretty basic and I believe should be posted by anyone selling their wares. Thanks!

Corrected the post, indicated the price of the set!

This should be available in the next few days from our store, together with the other new releases from Himini.
Unfortunately severe Customs restrictions delayed 2-3 shipments from Himini - quite a headache for us all to resolve!

I`ll put a link here. Good reconstruction (maybe the best) of a Roman legionnaire march. Almost every aspect of an equipment placement is explained. With English subtitles.

Hi there

Very interesting to see the video , all credit to them all

The artwork looks like it's going to be impressive thanks for look at face ....who is the artist ?

Thanks Kevin. This is my painting)). I know that you have always talked with my partner Vasily (HIMINI). It was he who showed our new products.

No problem! What kind of reference you interested at? Artifacts?

Looking forward to getting my kit, and I've been thinking about the painting.

I've managed to find a couple of great references in my library, but I was interested in 3 particular things:
1. The drinking canteen looks like it was usually metal with no wood. Is that how the sculptor imagined this one?
2. The cooking vessel looks like it's metal - copper, bronze, tin, iron?
3. Do we know if the rolled up cloak (or blanket) might have had any decoration on it, or was it a standard issue plain item?

Thanks,
Gerry

A-ha! Understand you.

1. The drinking canteen is made of steel. It is a reconstruction of a rather famous artifact from Newsted. A bit larger, but I don`t think that is a big assumption.
2. Bronze
3. We (We - I mean Science, Mankind etc) don`t know that unfortunately. I preferred plain version for my own collection. I think plain existed 100%. It is simply cheaper. But that is only my opinion.

Hope this helps.
