Finally finished this Historex figure of General Junot, Colonel General of Hussars, 1813. It is painted in acrylics (mostly Vallejo) except for the horse which was painted in oils. Junot's head was sculpted by my friend, and the collar and hands I made from green stuff. The horsefly strings are made of twisted wire. The rest is standard Historex parts, most from the Junot figure but with a few extras from my expansive Historex parts bins. Historex horse parts were cut and quartered and reassembled to make the pose. I started on this figure about three months ago, but I could have finished it in less time if I hadn't switched back and forth between a couple of other figures while working on Junot. He was definitely a fun project, as all Historex figures are, but sometimes I think I should just go with Metal Models. There are so many little parts to put together.

Pete,
Another nice piece of work. If it wasn't for all the small pieces, when would you get practice for swearing?

Bob

So true, especially when a buckle or other minute part decides to leap off the workbench into the multicolored carpet. Then as I'm on my knees with a magnifying glass, I really get to practice the swearing.

Nice work :)

Happy to give you some lessons in swearing . . .
(My daughter shocked the staff at the playgroup by repeating some of the things she'd heard me say) Ooops

My grand daughter embarrassed my daughter at a funeral when the 6yo gd realized the funeral was what the Hearse Song (The worms crawl in...) was about, and she decided to sing the song loud enough for everyone to hear. Kids can be very embarrassing.

Superb - if it were still published I'm sure it would be in the Historex Collectors Guide.

Try AFVs with full interior for practising profanities and blasphemies. I'm an expert at both and again I've been overheard by my kids and then the words repeatedin the wrong circumstances . Thank God I've no shame.

Cheers

Congratulations, I am delighted for you with the result.

Paul.

O Boy that's a real beauty . In the right hands this kit can still compete with any on the market and you have done a top job on this one . Congratulations on a well painted figure .

Very well done! The sculpted head makes all the difference... I find faces to be the weak link in historex kits.

Groundwork made for a fantastic overall presentation

Great job
