Good day to all fellow enthusiasts

Can someone please help me? I am a writer and modeller and am producing a short feature on Historex (where most of my pocket money went in the 1960s and 1970s!) for the Collectors Gazette.
I seek a couple of images of Historex First Empire figures (foot or mounted) that have been well painted to show what can be achieved with these kits. Sadly, my own efforts were binned decades ago. Can anyone assist? Resolution will need to be quite good (file size 350kb or better) and a byline will be given.

Many thanks

Alwyn

here some historex done in the '80 I hope can be useful

Thanks for the encouraging response, folks. I tried Historex Agents but drew a blank - they have nothing from the Lynn Sangster era.

Great to see so many stunning figures.

Seeing Ray Lamb's Chasseur on the cover of the (second?) Historex catalogue was one reason that my efforts were chucked away... However, I still have plenty of kits saved for my retirement!

Peedee, the resolution of the above is about 104kb - can you confirm? This is rather low for printing purposes; can you make it available in higher res? I'd also appreciate the Mameluk, if you can oblige.

Thanks to you all

Alwyn

No Alwyn,
I can't improve what Mr Google shows me !

Hi again

I did wonder about copyright, Magnifier... If I dismiss the Bill Hearnes, Shep Paynes et al, can someone send me a couple of hi-res shots of their handiwork? Acknowledgement will be given!

Thanks

Alwyn

Update to earlier post:

Ivopreda, the quality of the images you've posted will work. Are you happy for me to use two?

If so, may I have your name? I will get a copy of the magazine over to you once it is published.

Many thanks

Alwyn

hi Alwyn... sorry I discovered that I didn't answer to your questions...

This thread was started in 2016… but I do wonder if the article was ever published?

I did a Google search. I did find Collector Gazette mag, but no specific articles on Historex.

Original poster has not visited again since 2016.

I guess I am missing your point.

I did not revive this old thread, and I am the one who has pointed out that the thread is over six years old and that the OP has not returned since 2016. You even quoted my message.

So, why are you telling me he won’t be back? I very obviously am the one who originally pointed this out?

Correct, you are.

And I never said it was you who revived it. My comment was just a general observation aimed at no-one in particular. I quoted you solely for context (given that people often don't read all the comments in threads).
