I know very little about American history, for that I apologise.:(
So would these be compatible? I don't know if the dates are wrong, the Pegaso site states 1760 for the Iroquois. The Butler's ranger 1777–1784.
Any ideas how they'd compare scale wise?
Thanks in advance,
Carl.

I'm no expert on the period Carl but I'm fairly certain that there were changes to British Grenadier uniforms in the 1760s, so the French & Indian War red coat that the Iroquois is wearing wouldn't be compatible with the American Revolution timeframe of the Butler's Ranger.

Someone with more detailed knowledge might be able to expand on that.

Having seen Pegaso's price for the Iroquois, it isn't going to happen anyway.:(
I've finally found a paint that sticks to it Keith.;)
Thanks for the input,

Carl,

If I recall my highschool Canadian History classes correctly.
The native would have been a British ally for the battle of the Plains of Abraham aka the Battle for Quebec. The coat may have been given as surplus or taken from a dead Redcoat (not a trophy). Indian involvement in AWI was periphial at best. If one was wearing that coat, it would have been a hand-me-down from his grandfather or something. You'd have to give him a newer pattern musket and maybe a tomahawk instead of the warclub to make him more modern.

I have this figure, not started yet, compared to the Elite Confederate officer I just finished, he's a little bit taller and thicker.

Hope this helps

Colin

Looking forward to following the Butlers Ranger. I've had a few false starts with this one over the years, never been satisfied with the green I think I'll try acrylics this time.
I'm sure you will have found a number of the great websites about them.
Cheers
Derek
