Clearly, a lot of us are also kit/figure collectors!

I wonder if anyone has counted their 'books to read' section lately?
I have been buying books like a madman for years, and their are a lot of them waiting to be read!!!!

Cheers

Andy, I have also accumulated a library of books over the years. Now that I am retired, I find myself reading books I bought 20 years ago. Ya can't paint all the time!

Hi Guy

After a long day of teaching, advising, and trying to squeeze in admin and research work, I often don't have the energy to paint. I look at the pictures in some reference book, and do a little reading! Sometimes that gets me enough energy to roll out some putty or put brush to paint.

Of course last night I was distracted by the Hockey World Cup, and victory for Canada!!

Cheers

Andy,

I do a lot better in the reading department than in painting. My job essentially consists of sitting in a room and waiting for something to happen, so I get quite a bit of reading done at work. I've amassed a pretty decent library, but have only two unread volumes plus the tome I am currently reading. Oh, yeah, and the two on order ;) . Like you, though, sometimes all I want to do is look at pictures and imagine (y).

Puhh
i think I get over 140 Kits in my cupboard. 54er 120mm and a lot of garage kits.
I want to paint them when my kid is growing up. ;)
And I see the kit I want to have the kit, so many companys goes down, closed and I never can get there kits.
:(

I agree with the earlier comments that our hobby seems to encompass a number of sub hobbies i.e. collecting kits, books, equipment and any other snippets of useful information.

Since I have all but stopped doing commercial kits anymore I still have many unfinished pieces lying around. However, I use them for sculpting reference (or cannabalize the parts). I will still buy new kits based on the quality of the sculpting regardless of scale but I doubt I will ever actually paint them at this point.
