Hi Marcel

My apologies, I have been on many sites since putting up the comment on the cigarettes, it does seem pretty strange, in some cases its in the 1600’s the a maize paper was used as a outer casing, and on others much later, so I may be wrong in my research for this.

Diego, its a strange subject I must admit, so thank you for the insight ....

Dave

It´s nothing, Dave. It is really dificult to set up a starting line in habits like this, sometimes originated at different places in different moments.
This kind of cigarretes were a curiosity for foreigners that saw the spanish smoking them continuosly... It seems that they were great smokers! ;D.

Diego

Tony, Marcin, Steve, Mark and David thanks for the nice comments!

Soon pictures of the paintwork.

Marcel.

The paintwork

The last weeks I spend every hour I could find on painting this figure.
Now most parts are finished and I have to glue all the pieces together and mount it on the ground work. And then finish the last details like straps and sword. Yesterday I increased the contrast on the white because I wasn't satisfied how it was looking, hopefully it looks good now. Still find white a difficult color to do.
Thanks for looking and here are the pictures.
All comments are welcome!

Cheers,
Marcel.

Thanks Marc!
I will have a look. I have to do some touch ups anyway when it's all glued together and placed on the base work.

No, its a pity but I won't be at Euro this year. I would like to go but it's not possible at the moment. But I'm planning to go with the family next year and have some days sightseeing also.

Marcel.
