Mongo Mel
A Fixture
Hi,
I bought a new toy this weekend
I got a Fugifilm Finepix S700 digital camera.
Really seems like a good camera so far.
Here are the specs:
7.1 megapixels
10x optical zoom
macro and super macro settings (down to 0.4 inch distance)
video at 30 frames per second (same as television viewing)
powered by 4 AA size batteries
SLR type body (not the flat box style camera)
Lots of bells and whistles to let you play with your picture taking or just shoot on auto and let the camera do the work (it knows a lot more than I do )
I also bought a Scandisk Ultra II 2 gig SD chip for photo storage (it also will take an xD-Picture Card)
The camera was on sale at Circuit City for $224.00 and the chip was on sale as well for $35.00. So those plus a camera bag, a set of Lithium batteries and 7% state sales tax came to a total of approx. $300.00 (USD)
Now I just need to play with it so I can use it effectively at MFCA this weekend. So far it seems pretty easy to figure things out. And it's a nice light weight body with a good positive feeling grip to it.
Anyone else out there have this camera? Do you have any suggestions for me?
Thanks,
Craig
