Just a snowy Friday here. I do love figure painting but finding someone local around to socialize with and to talk over ideas is near impossible. Am I the only one who misses the interaction?

What else do others wish was better for our hobby?

Cheers

I have a very close friend who lives in Montreal(a very beautiful city). His name is Yiannis(John) Papoulakos and his mob.phone is 5145782569.Call him to talk about miniature art.

well living here in a kind of isolated island with 2000 persons and no other modeller , i also cannot share my passion with anyone . Thanks god for internet and phones !!!

Im really missing groupies.

Acually we are trying to get something going here in Stockholm. Tomorrow we will be meeting up for the second time just chatting while having coffee and modelling. We are only four at the moment but sending the word out.
We are aiming for 4-6 get togetheres a year.

Yep, modellers in remote areas...

...do resort to the digital club house.
lacks the ambiance of going round a friends house for a cup of coffee, beer, wine, what ever, and talking ideas, concepts, etc

I did have a mate come around who has only seen snaps of my China Lady, and says she does look better 'in the flesh'.

Options I have toyed with are starting a modelling club, or looking through the local artists group....

Paint, colour, texture, light and shadow; its all art....unless there are boobies....for some reason, boobies can only be represented in clay, marble or on canvas..shrug?

cheers
and keep in touch digitally
