Hey Guys!

Its great to finally be able to get on here again after what seams a really long time. Had a great trip out north west of here. Plenty of horseback riding, I probably put 140-150 Miles on my horse in 8 days. Experienced a 20 mile cattle drive, a couple of brandings and plenty of cattle pushing with my old pony. I am really proud of my horse, she did really well and took to cattle really good, and by end of week she has made a superb Ranch Horse. I have now taken up Roping as another hobby, but only after a seasoned cowboy showed me some tricks and after finding out my hoss really dont mind the rope. It is great fun!

One bad thing though, had my digi cam in a saddle bag and the LCD screen is a goner, not a very smart thing to do maybe but I did get some pics taken. Anyone know if they are replacable?

Looking forward to spend some time at the bench as well as catching up on all the goodies here on pF!

Welcome back Anders. Glad you had fun.

I bet your digi-cam can be fixed. Bring it next time and we'll look at it.

Hey John!

I dont know if its fixable unless you have a spare LCD screen :( Its like cracked or something and showes some funky stuff.

Here are some pics that I managed to take.

Hey Gray!

Yeah Horses are a lot of fun. I just sold a couple of mine so I only have one and a half horse left. By a half I mean I got a Mare thats about 6 and a Yearling Colt that Im trying to raise. Funny, I also had a horse named Rascal, he was a Palamino with a Rocking R brand, hence the name Rascal. Your Rascal is a nice looking hoss, I have a soft spot for Appys though, always kind of liked them, too bad that they are mostly bred for color any more and the original traits of them are disapearing.

Yo Anders! Welcome back, amigo. Gee, roping techniques at your age ... that could lead to some interesting dates with members of the opposite sex ;) Sounds like you had a blast playing Billy Crystal in "City Slickers."

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw!!!

P.S - so, how many figures did you sculpt on your journey? 27?

Hey Gray!

16 Hands is a good sized horse, way bigger then I would prefer. My horse is something like 14.3 maybe even 15 but if so just barely. Thats the perfect height for me, just big enough to get the job done and small enough to be athletic and easy to fool with.

I acctually started a 54mm mounted cowboy a few weeks back, but it kind of came to a grinding stop after I got all the Warhammer busts to paint. Maybe I will resume it someday soon!

As for hardest color to paint, hmm...Probably an Appy with a blanket, or a Leopard Appy. A Paint could be hard to with the different colors, dont want to think about doing a tri colored paint!

Oh yeah the Palaminos, Palamino is a color, not a specific breed, although they do have a Palamino Organization, but it is a color breed. Like a QH could be palamino or a Fox Trotter could be a palamino.

Peeeeety!

You commin to Tulsa this year?

As for figures sculpted...0... Although I had a 12-13 hour drive so I suppose I could have done atleast a little. I debated wether or not to bring something to work on, but I didnt bring anything since after the day was done we were usually to tired to do anything creative, getting up at 4:30 AM and working from 5-5:30 AM to 6-7PM kind of takes a toll on the hobby life.

Welcome back,Anders  ! Like the rest have already mentioned, those are some really cool pictures. Thanks for posting them ! Cheers.
Kenneth :)
