Hi guys this is my latest work.

A version of the amazing Pegaso75mm Byzantine figure

BYZ0.jpg

This was inspired by a Byzantine Army book cover from Greek "Periscopio" Editions, and a beautiful cover illustration from artist and Historitian Christos Giannopoulos.

BYZCOVER.jpg

The figure was converted with the addition of a cloak to match what i had in mind. The horse is a convertion from a SEIL Models kit.

I was really looking for the picturei had in mind, and not for rivet counting in historical accuracy , so i hope you like the whole picture of it , as it was a dream to make it from when i performed the historical text work for Pegaso on this miniature - figure

Thanks for taking the time to see and comment

Hi Costas

This is a real stunner, nice additions you have made to the figure and having that horse really sets the scene,

Thanks
Tommi

Costas, you must stop this model making lark and get a real life as of now!

(Then we others can dabble with our figures.)

You´ve excelled yourself on this one.

Spike.

I thought that I saw the best painting for this figure a month ago ... I was wrong. This is so great that I do not know the right word in English to describe it ... This figure is difficult to paint because of the flag and rest of details. It is not very popular because of this among average modelers. I saw only 2 or 3 of these painted.
This is my favorite byzantine figure by the way...

Beautiful work,Costas.
Excellent combination of Standard-bearer and horse.
Great piece,well done.

Nice work Costas ,good scene,congratulations.
I see you in Athens.
Regards Jose Luis
